Volunteer at the Moss Side Powerhouse Community Garden!

  • Moss Side Power House Community Garden 140 Raby Street Manchester, England, M16 7GH United Kingdom (map)

Want to support the Moss Side Community?

A group of volunteers are working together to create a new community harden at the Millennium Powerhouse and they need your help! What better way to start the new year than giving a good deed of your time that will have a long and lasting positive impact on the Moss Side Community.

The community garden will be a sustainable and accessible space for the local community to learn how to grow edible and non-edible plants from seed and cuttings. It will be a space to enjoy all the benefits of gardening, and meet new people, improve your wellbeing all while learning new skills. All this will help people through the current and ongoing cost of living crisis and introduce them to the importance of environmental habits such as carbon capture, having bio-diversity and repurposing food waste to make free organic nutrients for plants.

One of the end goals is to give people the skills, confidence and support to take their new skills and use them in their gardens, indoor growing environment and outdoor surrounding community spaces.
