This one setting on your boiler could save you up to £65 a year
Your boiler might be working harder than it needs to! Change this one simple setting today to save money on your energy bills…
You keep an eye on the thermostat, you’ve got yourself a draught excluder, and you’ve already got a smart meter – but when’s the last time you checked your boiler settings?
Let’s get straight to the point - Your boiler’s flow temperature might be set too high, meaning it’s working overtime, wasting energy and your valuable money. By turning it down to 60 (don’t worry we’ll show you how) your boiler will keep your house just as warm and cosy, but use less energy.
According to Nesta and Money Saving expert, the average UK home could save around £65 per year on their heating bills by lowering their boiler flow temperature, which works out to around 9% of your gas bill.*
If 10 million UK homes reset the boiler flow temperature to 60 degrees or below, those households would cut £1 billion from their energy bills and save 1.7m tonnes of carbon emissions; the equivalent of almost 6 million transatlantic flights.*
*Based on energy prices as of September 2023.
