Want to be part of this year’s Manchester Flower Festival?

This year we’re creating an interactive installation at the Manchester Flower Festival that puts plants and people on a podium.

We’re inviting residents, community groups and organisations to feature one of their own plants as part of the installation, to put a spotlight on small, creative growing spaces across the city and inspire people to get growing at home. Our aim is to use inspiring stories from the community to highlight the collective impact that each plant, windowsill, balcony and community garden in Manchester has at improving biodiversity, reducing the impacts of climate change, and improving our mental health.

Want to get involved?

To take part, all you need to do is tell us which plant you’d like to include as part of the installation. It can be an indoor or outdoor plant, and we’re looking for everything from a herb you’ve been growing on a windowsill, a potted flower from a community growing space or an up-cycled tyre-turned-plant pot from an alleyway garden. In return for sharing your plant and your growing story, you'll receive a £20 voucher!

Practical info: We’re looking to share your plants from Thursday 25th May to Monday 29th May. You’ll get your plants back afterwards and they’ll be looked after over the weekend to keep them safe and sound!

Simply fill in the form below to express your interest, or spread the word with someone who you think would want to get involved!
